Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about working with Good Bones Renovation

What areas do you serve?

We serve the Greater Austin area including Travis Heights, East Austin, Hyde Park, South Lamar, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Pflugerville, and Lakeway. If you're within 30 miles of downtown Austin, we can likely take on your project.

How does the estimate process work?

Start by filling out our contact form or giving us a call. We'll schedule a free on-site walkthrough to assess the scope of your project. Within a week, you'll receive a detailed written estimate broken down by materials, labor, and timeline. No obligation, no pressure.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Good Bones Renovation is fully licensed by the State of Texas and carries comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We're happy to provide proof of insurance for your records or your HOA.

How long does a typical renovation take?

It depends on scope. A bathroom remodel typically takes 3-4 weeks, a kitchen remodel 6-8 weeks, and a whole-home renovation 3-5 months. We'll give you a detailed timeline during the estimate process and keep you updated throughout the project.

What payment options do you offer?

We typically structure payments in milestones: a deposit to secure your spot on our schedule, progress payments at key completion points, and a final payment at walkthrough. We accept checks, bank transfers, and credit cards. Financing referrals are available for larger projects.

Do you offer a warranty on your work?

Absolutely. All Good Bones Renovation projects come with a 2-year workmanship warranty. If anything we built or installed isn't performing as it should, we'll come back and make it right. Manufacturer warranties on materials and fixtures apply separately.
